Radio Psy 49 com PatchBay(Boundless Music) Live! + Dj Rodrigo CPU

Neste episódio a segunda parte  do especial sobre o Festival Universo Paralello 09, nesta edição a segunda parte do set do Dj Rodrigo CPU , que psicodelizou a pista principal dia 31 das 4:30 as 6:00 da manhã. E como convidado o live do Patchbay, um dos destaques do Main Floor (pista principal), tocando dia 30 de manhã. 

PatchBay Release e Bio

Guitarrista e baixista desde os 12 anos, tocando em bandas de rock progressivo e heavy metal, em 98 Dj Fred começou sua produção eletrônica experimental na cena house/techno brasileira. Passou então a discotecar psychedelic trance e downtempo e toca em alguns dos maiores festivais do Brasil como Universo Paralelo, Trancendence, Tranceformation, Solaris/Tribe, Cachoeira Alta, Soma, Earth Dance, além de quase todas as capitais. 

Em 2003, Frederico Drummond começou sua produção de psy-trance sob o nome PatchBay.

Já se apresentando no exterior em outros anos, marcou em 2006 uma bem sucedida tournê pela Europa (Inglaterra, Holanda, Hungria e Áustria ) e em 2007 fez duas tours nos Estados Unidos e ja tem volta marcada pra setembro na California. Se apresentou em Santiago (chile) em novembro de 2007 para 12 mil pessoas, evento em que tocará novamente em dezembro próximo e seu projeto paralelo, Yubaba marcou presenca no Boom Festival em agosto de 2008.

Tendo lançamentos em gravdoras como Planet Ben (Alemanha/Japao), Boundless Music (Israel), Matéria Records (Espanha), Yellow Sunshine Explosion(U.K./Japao)Mandala records (França), Geomagnetic TV e Morning Star (E.U.A.), Fred integra também a produtora áudio visual Reality Engine baseada em Nova Iorque e o crew de artistas da Gravadora israelita Boundless Music.

Coming from a background of playing in rock and heavy metal bands since the age of 12, in 1998 DJ Fred started producing experimental electronic music in the Brazilian house/techno scene. Since then, tuning his sound more to the psychedelic style he has been DJ¹ing full-on trance and downtempo in some of Brazils biggest festivals including: Trancendence, Universo Paralello, Tribe (Solaris), Earth Dance, Cachoeira Alta, Soma and many more.  In 2003, Frederico Drummond began producing psy-trance under the alias PATCHBAY. After 2 years playing in Europe through England, Holland, Spain and Austria, he came back now from his second tour in 2007 in the United States, this time on Symbiosis Gathering (california). Patchbay has been blowing people away where ever he takes his music ! Having released on such labels as Planet Ben (Japan), Yellow Sunshine Explosion (Japan), Geomagnetic, Morning Star (U.S.A.), Materia Records(Spain) and Mandala Records (France), Fred has also joined Reality Engine an Audio Visual label based in New York, and is participating in the audio production of their debut DVD and other projects.

Apontado hoje como um dos principais projetos de trance no Brasil, o Life Style é formado pelos produtores Fred Vieira e Rafael Rodrigues.

Em pouco tempo de carreira já se apresentaram nos principais eventos do pais, incluindo diversas edições da festa Kaballah - onde são residentes - e nos principais festivais do pais, como Universo Paralello, na Bahia, e Cachoeira Alta Dance Festival, em Minas Gerais. No primeiro semestre de 2008, a dupla realizou sua primeira turnê internacional, como passagem por países como Japão, México, Portugal e Dinamarca.

Apos diversos lançamentos em labels nacionais e internacionais, o Life Style lançou no inicio do ano seu primeiro álbum, chamado 'Build Your Own', com 10 faixas inéditas da dupla incluindo remixes de artistas renomados, como o inglês Joti Sidhu e os israelenses Alien Project e Space Cat.

Uma das faixas do álbum, 'This is da House', alcançou o segundo lugar entre as mais vendidas do gênero Psytrance no Beatport, o maior site de downloads de música eletrônica do mundo.

Atualmente o duo integra o casting da gravadora brasileira Wired Music ao lado dos principais artistas nacionais como Audio-X, Skulptor, DJ Feio e DJ Noronha.

Formed by producers Fred Vieira and Rafael Rodrigues, the project Life Style performs all over Brazil since late 2004 in a proper trance style.
Friends since childhood, the duo started attending electronic music parties until they decided to join each other to create Life Style. They looked for inspiration in many sides of e-music to start their productions. The duo’s favorites were always Fatboy Slim, Crystal Method, Groove Armada and Prodigy. 

Since both of them used to work in other fields, at first it was just a hobby, but the project started developing its own identity and they decided to drop everything off to fully dedicate to electronic music. From then on, many invitations appeared to play at parties like Kaballah (one of the biggest in Brazil), important clubs like Manga Rosa, Anzu and E-Muzik, besides big Brazilian festivals like Universo Paralello, in Bahia, and Cachoeira Alta Dance Festival, in Minas Gerais. 

During this short career period, Life Style released several tunes in compilations on Brazilian and international labels such as Planet B.E.N. Records (Japan), Spliff Music (Israel), High-End Records (Brazil), Mandala Records (France) and WFCorp (Brazil). The duo has also worked in productions of important artists such as Shanti, D-Tek, Alien Project, Space Cat and Joti Sidhu. 

Nowadays the duo is part of the Brazilian label Wired Music’s casting along with artists like Audio-X, Skulptor, DJ Feio and DJ Noronha, and has taken part on compilations like “Find a Way”, “Mush-a-Holic” and “Sounds of Kaballah”.

In 1998 I found out that I could combine my passion for music with work and began playing at nightclubs in Sweden, but it was already in 1994 I discovered the electronic dance music in an underground Goatrance party!

I am open-minded about music styles and I think this is one of my strengths as a DJ. I always strive to find the perfect track for the instant moment on the dancefloor, not to please my own wishes, but for giving the dancing people what they want/need! At the moment I prefer to play psychedelic trance with my special twist and progressive/electro house.

The goal with my sets is to communicate with the dancefloor, to feel the connection with the crowd so I could give them an unforgettable experience through the music. I play carefully chosen tracks full of energy which make me smile and I want to make the crowd dance with a big smile on their lips too!

Today I am lucky to be a part of the Phantasm rec team and get bookings around the world, for example at festivals like Universo Paralello in Brazil, Fullmoon Festival in Germany and Burningman in the Nevada desert! Everywhere I meet wonderful people and do my best to make them smile. During the years I’ve been playing in 20 countries, and hopefully more countries (and continents) will be a part of my “office” in the future!

Fernando Diaz Gallardo A.K.A. Barak, starts as a musician in 1999 at age of 15, with influences from trance scene of that year. His project was created with only one purpose: Transmit emotions and energy through Trance Music.

In 2001 he meets Raul Islas (Smuhg / Divinorum), and started to work together in a dark full on project named Spiraled Fungus and became big friends up to this days. Some months later he met 
Juan Carlos Ramirez Coello Cepeda (Trailex), who started to work with Barak in some tracks, and played together in some small parties along Mexico City. 

Some years later, he met Rene Sanchez (Dj Shove), who became his best friend, and co-worker in their project "Teen Sluts". Together, started to play very soon all over Mexico, and got deeper into the Mexican Trance scene with their track "Super Marihuano Bros". 

Barak continued playing in parties all over Mexico, including very important festivals and huge parties, like Earth Dance Mexico 2003, Green Dreams Festival, Talamasca @ Guadalajara, Mikology Festival Pt. 1, Nierika @ Puerto Vallarta, Astrix and Sub 6 @ Guadalajara,Yabai Summer Festival 2006, New Dimention´s Back to the Future 1 and 2, Hadra Trance Festival, and many more.

Cosmo Tech é o projeto de psy trance formado pelos DJs Yuri e Azyz (aka Roberto).

Sua música caracteriza-se pelo estilo fullon hi-tech, onde são usados equipamentos de última

geração.

O projeto ja é destaque na cena trance nacional, tocando em muitos
eventos por todo o país e nos grandes festivais, como, Festival Universo Paralello 7 e 8
(Itubera-BA, Reveillon 2006/07/08), Earthdance (Pirinópolis-GO, set/2006), Festival
Fora-do-Tempo (Carolina-MA, 2006/2007) e Festival Samsara (Uberlândia-MG, nov/2006);

bem como ao lado de grandes nomes da cena internacional como: Penta, Tristan, Zen Mechanics,
Space Cat, Psysex, Headroom, Cosmosis, X-Noize, Wrecked Machines, Naked Tourist,

Cosmo Tech is the psy trance project formed by the DJs Yuri and Azyz (aka Roberto) in 2005, established in Brasilia (capital of Brazil).

Their music are marked by the fullon hi-tech style, where equipments of last generation are used, as PowerMAC G5, Motu 2408 mk3, Virus Polar TI, PowerCore Compact, UAD-1 UltraPak, Kaos Pad 3, Genelech speakers and lots of Virtual Instruments.

For production, Logic Pro 7.1 is the prefered software and for presentations, Ableton Live. Yuri is a musician since his 6 years old, when he started to play classical piano and drums. Yuri usually plays e-drum Roland SPD-20 and Dj Azyz plays Nord Lead 2x synth, adding some improvisations on their tracks.

The project comes to rise up in the national trance scene, playing in many events all over the country and in the great festivals, as, Universo Paralello Festival 7 e 8 (Ituberá-BA, New Year 2006/07/08), Earthdance (Pirinopolis-GO, set/2006), Fora-do-Tempo Festival (Carolina-MA, jul/2006) and Samsara Festival (Uberlandia-MG, nov/2006), as well as at side of great names of the international trance scene, as, Penta, Tristan, Zen Mechanics, Space Cat, Psysex, Headroom, Cosmosis, X-Noize, Wrecked Machines, Naked Tourist, Hujaboy, Infected Mushroom and many others.

Cosmo Tech released two psychoactive tracks ("Upgrading System" and "One Crazy Trip") in V.A. Germination, the 1st compilation of the new brazilian label, Dutch Flowers Records. They also released the track "Digital Landscape" (vs. JP) in the DJ JP's album, Evolution of Minds (Medusa Rec).
